Thoughts Part II

Let me tell you a couple of stories that my friends told me:
My friend had a big date with a guy. She put her fancy make-up, she was dressed to kill, and in a word she was fabulous. After a long talk, many laughs and a couple of drinks they called the night off with kisses burning with desire. But the thing is, he never called her back. So, she started wondering if she was in the Neverland and all this hot date was a product of her imagination. And then, out of the blue he called her saying that he didn’t called her but neither she did….I mean, there was an issue who was going to do the first move? He told her that the date was amazing, meaning that it had gone better than he had imagined but he thought that they should cool it off a little bit and slow down….Is he for real? In the beginning, you want to get to know with the other, so how this would be possible if you slow down?? Can we prearrange the frequency of the dates?
The other friend told me that she had dated with a man for a couple of times and she was under the impression that the story went well between them. Then, he invited her to a party where she met his friends and after that nothing…and when she called him to see how he was, he asked her if she has fell for him and told her to cool things off, meaning; he never called back.
Where little Cupid has gone? Is he playing with us? He acts like a little devil; you think that you have found him and oups! he vanishes!
Well, the communication breakdown between men and women is a fact long time ago and I am not going to accuse men and of course not women of whose fault is. I have realized that most of the times people either are not sure of what they want when they date, or they raise their expectations too high.
I guess we should stay focus on what our heart really wants and not expect too much from the beginning. I mean it’s only the beginning. Perhaps when you keep your feet down to earth, you can be more alert and see if Cupid really is in your neighborhood or very far away…
